Meeting Place:

Lions Grove picnic area

Eager to enjoy the outdoors with your little ones in a new way? We will provide a fun and educational morning for children ages 4-6 and their families. Participants engage in exploratory walkabouts in the park, hands-on learning, nature-based games, and unique crafts to take home. Sign up for one or more in the series.

Creepy and crawly, or curious and cute? How ever you feel about insects, there is no doubting their importance to our world. We will explore where insects live, how they survive, and what makes them so special.

The cost is $5 per family (up to four people per family) and $7 for out-of-county attendees (up to four people per family). For more information, contact Kristin Suarez at Registration required.

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
