Leave No Trace is a nationwide program that raises awareness of our impacts on land and waterways. Join Regional Parks as we remove trash from the stretch of the Russian River that runs from Steelhead Beach to Sunset River Park. Reserve a kayak through Regional Parks or bring your own. All litter pick up tools will be supplied by Regional Parks along with lunch, drinks and snacks. Volunteers should wear clothes and shoes that can get wet, and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking fees are waived for volunteers.
