Come explore the wildness and meet our newest property, acquired by Sonoma County Ag + Open Space and transferred to Regional Parks for a future park. Calabazas Creek has a fascinating history and boasts beautiful vistas, creekside treasures and a challenging hike. Park staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions and interpret park features.
Co-hosted by Sonoma County Regional Parks and Sonoma County Ag + Open Space, park preview days give the public an opportunity to enjoy self-guided hikes on the future parkland and learn more about the planning process that will result in the property’s permanent opening as a regional park and open space preserve. For more information, contact Andrew Traverso at Andrew.Traverso@sonoma-county.org. Registration required.
Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
